We recently celebrated my son's first birthday. We had a wonderful party for him. 

Today I wanted to share three tips for keeping things budget-friendly and of course, stress-free. 

Have you jumped on the Instant Pot bandwagon? If you have not I HIGHLY recommend it. I use mine daily. DAILY! Whether it's making dinner, baby food or my morning breakfast. 

My baby turned one on Saturday. I know. I can't believe it. It feels like he was just born. We had a small family get together and I thought I would share with you the ins and outs of our super-simple party.

Happy Read Across America Day! What a fun way to get kids reading and loving reading. I remember in the second grade my teacher writing D.E.A.R on the chalkboard and then yelling "DROP EVERYTHING AND READ!"

Oh, the word sacrifice. It doesn't exactly ring of warm fuzzy feelings. Does it? 

But remember this is a short-term sacrifice for the long-term gain of being debt free. When my husband and I were paying off debt we cut out so many things. And you know what? We really didn't miss them after a while. 

So here are five things to cut out when getting out of debt. But, since I'm not a meany butt I will be sharing with you some alternatives that will save you money. (Meany butt. Yeah, I'm a grown person with children. Sure.)
