Little Caesars Copycat Breadsticks

There is a certain national Pizza chain whose bread sticks I love, but whose pizza... well.

I am sure you know the one I mean. But their bread sticks. Man! They are soft and warm and garlicy. I love them.

So I hit the internet to find the recipe to make my own. And I did. After a little tweaking whipped these up.

FOR $1.93 I made 13 bread sticks. You can't buy a bag for that.

The best part is I made them in the food processor. I just dumped everything in there. No stirring with a wooden no kneading.

What you'll need:

1 1/2 cups HOT water

2 1/4 tsp active yeast, or one package

4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

2 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp kosher salt

Melt some extra butter, about 8 tbsp to brush over dough.

Preheat your oven to 450.

Mix your hot water with your yeast and sugar. Let sit covered for about 5 minutes. The water will be "frothy" when ready.

I placed all the flour in my food processor. Once the yeast water is frothy add to flour in food processor. Add your butter and salt as well.

It will look like this.

Scrape the dough out of the food processor.

Roll your dough into sticks. Cover with a wet toel and let them rise for about 15 minutes.

Brush with butter. I sprinkled with a little garlic, kosher salt and basil.

Then pop in the oven for about 10 minutes.
